On 3rd January 2026, the Principal Secretary, Eng. John Kipchumba Tanui, CBS, hosted a delegation from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space and DAAD. The focus was the proposed establishment of a Centre of African Excellence for Applied Artificial Intelligence in Kenya. Kenya-AIST was represented by the Council Chairman, Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya, and Ag. Principal, Prof. J.W. Khamasi.

Today- 2nd December, 2025, the Kenya-AIST hosted a Strategic Partnership Breakfast Meeting with Board Chairpersons and CEOs from leading State Corporations in the transport, energy, infrastructure, housing, and water sectors. The discussions focused on strengthening industry linkages and forging impactful collaborations that will drive national transformation.
