PARTNERSHIPS

We endeavor to establish partnerships with leading institutions across the globe to advance excellence in research, innovation, industrial linkages and capacity building. Ongoing collaborations are as shown below:

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)

Kenya-AIST is modelled after the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Through a bilateral MOU, the two institutions will engage in academic and research development, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and capacity building programmes. The partnership is guided by principles of equality, reciprocity, and mutual benefit.

International Vaccine Institute (IVI)

IVI is an international organization established in 1997 in Seoul, South Korea, under the initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with a focus on vaccine research and global health. Kenya-AIST, KAIST and IVI signed an MoU in June 2024 during the Korea-Africa Summit. Currently, the trio are exploring ways of promoting bio-vaccine research and capacity building.
